He took his degree in Fine Arts at Barcelona University. Xulio García made individual exhibitions at the following galleries. -Art gallery of the Nautical Club in Vigo (1977). -Art gallery of the bank 'Caixa de Aforros de Vigo' (1978). -Galician Brotherhood of Caracas (Venezuela) in 1980. -Cultural Centre in Vigo (1986). -'Sargadelos' Gallery in Santiago de Compostela (1987). -'Abel Lepina' Gallery in Vigo (1991). -St Domingo Church in Tui (1992). -'Citania' Gallery in Santiago de compostela (1993). -At the institution 'Casa de Galicia' in Madrid (1994). -'Citania' Gallery in Santiago (1996). -New Gallery of the bank 'Caixa Vigo' and 'Ramón Mª Aller' Museum in Lalín (1998). -'Citania' Gallery in Santiago, 'Trisquel' and 'Medulio' Galleries in Tui and 'Visol' Gallery in Ourense (2000). He also took part in collective exhibitions such as Spanish Painting in the 80's; Biennial Exhibition (Pontevedra, 1983); I Trade Fair 'Fenosa Union' (A Coruña, 1989); II Contest 'Isaac Díaz Pardo' (County Council Offices in A Coruña, 1991); First, Second, Third and Fourth Biennials Exhibition 'Pintor Laxeiro' in Lalín (1993, 1995, 1997, 1999); Athlantic forum of Contemporary Art in Santiago de Compostela (1999); Seventeen artists at 'Ramón Aller' Museum in Lalín (1995); Galicia Terra Única: Galicia 1900-1990 in Ferrol (1997); Third Prize 'Eixo Atlántico' (1998); Tempo de Flamenco at the shopping Centre 'Área Central' in Santiago (1998); A century of Art in Deza at 'Ramón Aller' Museum in Lalín (2000). In 1975, he got a grant from the County Council Office of A Coruña to improve his artistic career. He got the second painting prize in the Contest 'Xoven Pintura Galega' at 'Adro' Gallery in A Coruña (1978). He also got prizes at the Contest 'Isaac Díaz Pardo' in 1991 and at the Biennial Exhibition 'Pintor Laxeiro' in Lalín (1993, 1995, 1997 and 1999).  Work & Activities

He made illustrations for the book Tradición e innovación en Cunqueiro by José Luis Varela, which was published by the Xunta de Galicia. He also made illustrations for the tenth anniversary of the magazine 'Dorna' and for the 'Galician Literary Bulletin of Santiago University'.
